Hello. My name is Norio Itabashi.
I have launched my company’s own business (an E-Commerce Shopping Cart Provider- Live Commerce ™) for international Ecommerce order sales of Japanese products.
I think that the ordinary products we often take for granted when we use and enjoy them every day—fashions, anime, buildings, garments, food, and toys--were actually created with great care and craftsmanship, and Japanese products such as these are world-class quality. When I have traveled abroad, I have noticed the goodness of Japanese products.

When it comes to toys or food, you may suddenly feel “this is terrific!” and your heart is captured, and your face breaks into a smile. In this way, Japanese products enrich life and make a new life worth living. Wouldn’t it be fabulous to be able to convey this experience to the world? By continuously conveying Japan to the world, I want to add even one person to the people whose hearts are enriched, and I have incorporated this concept into our company mission.

1. Software Engineer Saitama City

Required Skills: 

  • 3+ years’ experience with PHP and/or Java.
  • Web application fundamentals.
  • Good understanding of Object Oriented principles.
  • Experience with frameworks such as Zend Framework, Prototype(JS), JQuery(JS).
  • Knowledge with working on Relational Databases (MySQL)..
  • Knowledge of QA automation processes and tools such as Selenium and PHPUnit
  • Experience with Version Control Systems (SVN).
  • Experience in UNIX systems on a user level.
  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent

2. QA Engineer Saitama City

We are looking for a QA Engineer with experience, creative outside of the box thinker who can join our rapidly growing cross-functional agile development team. As one of the founders of our QA team you will be also strongly involved in creation of our testing methodologies and standards, choice of tools and practices.

Required Skills:

3. Senior Market Manager(Brand building) Tokyo

As Senior Market Manager, your main objective will be to provide exceptional guidance and leadership to ensure the successful account management of Discovery Japan's partners in your designated territories. You will enable the team to exceed the acquisition and production expectations that form a key part of Discovery Japan's business goals. In doing so, you will bring a strong analytical acumen, a high level of commercial savvy and the ability to attract, motivate, and coach your team. The ability to establish and develop profitable long term partnerships with both internal and external customers will be a key to the success of the role.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of market managers in identifying, acquiring and managing successful website partnerships
  • Implement strategies and promotional activities with partners to enhance productivity and opportunities to maintain a competitive advantage for the Discovery Japan website
  • Conduct market research into trends in the industry and market to ensure the competitiveness of Discovery Japan products
  • Develop tools and processes to ensure greater operational efficiencies and sharing of best practices
  • Train and inform partners on our technologies, tools and model
  • Implement tools for the regular tracking, review and reporting of performance of teams in delivering KPIs and targets
  • Develop and implement a strategy for the team's business development activities, to monitor and strengthen the productivity of new and established partnerships
  • Analyze and feedback on the availability and quality of data, which lead to recommendations for commercial improvements
  • Plan a timetable and lead market managers in partner visits according to internal goals, targets and objectives
  • Represent the company at relevant trade-shows, workshops and events to promote the Discovery Japan brand and products
  • Share relevant data and information with internal and external partners to ensure a high level of communication and feedback to optimize performance
  • Coordinate with senior management on strategic planning and objectives
  • Develop and own relationships with key decision makers at hotels, technology partners and other relevant partners
